Requirements

ESP Print 3.2.4 requires IRIX^TM 5.2 or higher and a minimum of 32MB of RAM and 12MB of disk space.

Installing the Software

Click on the link below to install ESP Print 3.2.4. If you are using an SGI version of Netscape Navigator the Software Manager program will automatically be started.

Install ESP Print 3.2.4

If you do not have an SGI version of Netscape Navigator, save the distribution to a file and run the following commands in a UNIX Shell window:

% su [ENTER]
...
# tar xovf espPrint-3.2.4-irix.tardist [ENTER]
...
# inst -f dist [ENTER]
...
inst> go [ENTER]
...
inst> quit [ENTER]
# exit [ENTER]

Using ESP Print

Just bring up the Icon Catalog (Find->Icon Catalog->Applications).There will be several icons visible - double-click on the AddPrinter icon to add your printer(s). The executable is in /usr/esp/bin/AddPrinter if you have an aversion to iconic interfaces.

ESP Print has an online user's guide which provides setup instructions for most printers and network interfaces. Choose Help->Online Books to see the user's guide.
